Dear Friend,
All of us suffer each and every day from some kind of stress that prevents us from living in and enjoying the moment. Worry, anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, anger, frustration, procrastination, loneliness. The feelings of wishing things were different/better, fear of failure, not knowing how to fix things, uncertain about our choices and the future. Wishing other people would be different, wishing we were different (a flatter stomach, bigger breasts, smaller nose), wishing our partner was better, more loving, more understanding. Stressed about money, rushing from one thing to another, or not enjoying our jobs.
But here’s the thing, my friend…all of these ‘problems’ are self-created and are stopping you from living the life you deserve.
The situations may be real but our minds have made them what they now are. We have created them by some ideal, fantasy, expectation of how we wished our world would be, how we perceive other people’s lives to be and what we fear we will never achieve for ourselves.
Try this; just for a minute let all of that go and just pay attention to the physical things around you right now. Your breathing, your body, the temperature, the light, the smells, the sounds, the texture of what you are sitting on, the things moving or being still around you. Don’t judge them against what they should be, but just observe what they really are.
See this moment as it is without all the things you’re worried, frustrated, angry, concerned about. Let go of all of those things and just see this moment.
Do you feel it, this moment is perfect!
Accept this moment and cherish it. This is real, and it is wonderful.
You can go back to worrying about everything else in a moment. For now just live in the moment and enjoy it.
Whenever you need direction you can do this exercise again or reach out for some guidance, I’m here to help you my friend.
Yours in peace and healing,
Niki
